ip-route is a new crate allowing interacting with rtnetlink subsystem using the same syntax as the ip command.
It works as a proc-macro, taking care of encoding the request. It reduces netlink-related boilerplate and saves time by avoiding debugging the obscure quirks of rtnetlink of which there are many.
letifname="wg0";ip!(sock,"ip link set dev {ifname} up")?;
The parameters can be toggled conditionally, including by passing an Option, and it also supports other commands.

#### Ip-route
`ip-route` is a new crate allowing interacting with rtnetlink subsystem using the same syntax as the `ip` command.
It works as a proc-macro, taking care of encoding the request. It reduces netlink-related boilerplate and saves time by avoiding debugging the obscure quirks of rtnetlink of which there are many.
```rust
let ifname = "wg0";
ip!(sock, "ip link set dev {ifname} up")?;
```
The parameters can be toggled conditionally, including by passing an Option, and it also supports other commands.
See the [readme](https://github.com/one-d-wide/netlink-bindings/tree/main/ip-route).
#### Other highlights
- Debug-printing attributes now shows unrecognized attributes as hex dumps, previously they were simply ignored.
- Generated structs now implement `Eq`, `Ord` and `Hash` traits by default.
- `Request` structs now have `header{,_mut}()` methods, allowing editing header after encoding.
- Fixed a bug in parsing ext-ack missing auxiliary error information in some cases.
